Neilyo: Macros & Keybinds (no one asked anything about this, but it is definately worth talking about so I will give my opinion on some of it).
Focus macros and focus frames, good or bad? Good. Focus macros/frames only allow better players to stand out over worse players in that the best players will make much better use of these functions than your average player. Also because clicking and tabbing is never reliable I would strongly advocate focusing any important ability that you would use on off targets. Focusing is better in every way than doing it manually, faster, less predictable, and you can pretty much 100% guarantee an interrupt if it does not get faked. I probably have some of the best melee footage out there of manual switch target interrupts so from 1st hand experience I can say if you do not use focus macros and already bind everything that is important the single biggest thing you can do to improve your arena play is using focus macros for everything of importance. I use focus shadowstep, blind, kick, gouge, deadly throw, and throw.

Since adding focus macros can be a hassle with adding new binds I feel like sharing my thoughts on bindings. I try to group similar binds together, but still have a decent amount of binds from back in the day that I am really use to and dont conflict with anything so I havent changed them. An example of how I group similar binds together can be seen with how I have my interrupts bound, R is kick, shift R focus kick, Alt R focus deadly throw, Ctrl R focus gouge, shift 4 deadly throw (4 being close to R). I used to have my spam key on 1 (hemo / sinister etc), however I changed that to 2 and I'll explain why. Assuming you use standard WASD movement keys and middle finger on W if you want to spam 1 and strafe left you would be spamming 1 with your ring finger but need to use your ring to strafe left then swap middle to spam 1 so your hand starts to get out of position and can keep getting worse if you need to use your middle finger for something other than 1 now. With your spam key on 2 you can strafe left and right while still spamming 2 and use auto run for forward. Some other examples of how I try to be efficient with keybinds are where I choose to bind my vent key, which is on my mouse, the advantage of this is that you will be holding vent down a lot during a match so you want it somewhere that doesnt conflict with any other bind that you need to use often and the mouse is a perfect place since it does not effect your hand position on the keyboard. All of my binds can be found on my SK Gaming profile by downloading my UI.
